Mary K. Thomas

Job Responsibilities: Mary provides staffing services to the equine industry, as well as general business clients in administrative, management, sales, industrial, and construction fields. She leads her professional staff in a fast paced, team-oriented atmosphere that provides superior service of the utmost quality to both clients and candidates. She manages all business functions including financial, sales, marketing, human resources, and planning.
Career Accomplishments: In 1982 Mary established Temporary Horse Care & Employment Service providing grooms, farm maintenance workers, farm secretaries, and farm managers. She expanded business to include Mary K. Thomas Employment Services, providing administrative, clerical, accounting, and management services to non-horse farm businesses in 1986. Her business later grew to include HR Consulting and Training. Mary is recognized as the first and only Nationally Certified Personnel Consultant in Marion County, FL. Competing against large national firms, Mary ranked second in the Florida Association of Personnel Consultants.
She launched the award winning Equistaff.com website in 2000 and expanded the site to serve as the only international, multilingual employment web site serving clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Personal: Mary's love for horses has included showing hunter/ jumpers and buying and selling racehorses. She currently competes as an amateur ballroom dancer. She recently took up motorcycling for enjoyment - when she has time, and she has a two French Bull Dogs - Bugsy Siegle and Victoria "Flamingo" Hill.

Margaret L. Renaud
Assistant Branch Manager
Responsibilities: Margaret’s responsibilities include sales, recruiting, pre-employment screening, staff selection and placement, customer service, and training. Additionally, she coordinates equine groom school classes.
Career Accomplishments: Margaret has been with Mary K. Thomas Employment Services for 7 years. She has managed several large accounts including successfully winning a bid for a FEMA grant providing hurricane cleanup at an animal sanctuary and local community college.
Personal: Margaret was born and raised on an Ocala farm, providing her with a wealth of local knowledge and contacts. Margaret is married with a eight-year-old son and a cat named Twinkie. Prior to joining our team, she worked for a medical rehabilitation center. She is an active volunteer with the Ocala Jaycees, a community service & leadership training organization. She is currently the Business Vice President of the Florida Jaycees. She enjoys traveling, shopping, fishing and a rainy day with a great book.

Chrystal Ramsay
Team Leader - Staffing Department
Responsibilities: Chrystal's responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing and screening applicants, placement coordination, temporary and permanent placement, networking and attending recruiting events.
Career Accomplishments: Chrystal has been in sales for the last ten years. She was top sales associate for two years running at National Service Corporation. She is a National Write Up Winner and was published in the National Jaycee Magazine. She loves working with people and helping them reach their potential.
Personal: Chrystal was born in a small town in Northern Indiana called North Judson. She spent the vast majority of her childhood there. She moved to Ocala and got her AA in Business Administration from Central Florida Community College. From there she attended Stetson University for a year and left to return to Ocala and get married. Chrystal a dedicated volunteer with the Ocala Jaycees. She has served in many facets on the local and state board and is currently the Florida President. Chrystal enjoys shopping, spending time with her family and friends, and teaching Sunday school.

Adam McRae Staffing Coordinator - Lake/Sumter
Responsibilities: Adam's responsibilities include sales, recruiting, pre-employment screening, staff selection, placement, and customer service.
Career Accomplishments: Recently joining Mary K. Thomas Employment Services, Adam has a passion for people and an ability to sell. A leading producer in sales for the car industry Adam brings his driven personaltiy and unique talent to staffing.
Personal: Born and raised in Lake County, Adam is married and has a new baby girl.

Connie Muhlenkamp Sales Representative - Lake/Sumter
Responsibilities: Connie's responsibilities include outside sales and customer service for the Lake/Sumter area.
Career Accomplishments: Recently joining Mary K. Thomas Employment Services, Connie brings fifteen years of previous staffing expereince to our firm. Working with major employers in the Dayton, Ohio area she is responsible for giving hundreds of people viable work opportunities.
Personal: Originally from Ohio, Connie now lives in The Villages and still maintains her Ohio home that is on a lake and has a lovely vineyard. |

Nancy Ihasz
Business Consultant
Responsibilities: Nancy specializes in recruiting and start up projects as well as general Human Resources consulting, including application and file review, benefits surveys, compliance audits, employee/employer counseling, exit interviews, handbook & orientation development, interview assistance, resume assistance, salary surveys, coaching and team building, and staff reorganizations.
Career Accomplishments: Nancy started the first temporary technical services division in the nation for large staffing corporations. She started the first onsite staffing services for a large pharmaceutical operation and an accounting division for a large staffing corporation. She recruited and staffed 500 data entry operators working 24x7 for a remote bar-coding beta site of the US Postal Service. She started a light industrial division for a construction staffing company and added a construction division to an existing staffing service. She and a partner started a successful motorcycle magazine, which she sold to her partner when she moved to Ocala. She also publishes articles in several magazines and newspapers on human resources and motorcycle topics.
Memberships: OHRMA (Ocala Human Resource Association); MCSA (Marion County Staffing Association); Director and Secretary, Ocala Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Center.
Personal: Nancy has lived in NY, CA, PA, Puerto Rico, and FL. She moved to Ocala from Tampa in 2000 with her husband, cat and motorcycle. She teamed up with Mary Thomas Employment Services in 2001 and continues to work on a project basis allowing time to pursue personal interests. She traveled to Colorado with seven women in 2003 and Canada in 2004, all riding their own motorcycles. She is looking forward to the next adventure.

Stormy Duffey
Groom School Instructor
Responsibilities:
Stormy's responsibilities include teaching the Equine Groom School Classes at her farm. Stormy teaches basic groom skills to beginners in the equine industry and prepares them to work on local area farms.
Career Accomplishments:
Stormy worked with her family in a large riding stable in Denver that had over 100 horses where she taught riding lessons for ages 8 and up before going to work for a dude ranch in Creston, Colorado specializing in pack trips for photography in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Stormy moved to Ocala in 1996 with her husband where they purchased 12 acres of vacant land that they have developed into into a thoroughbred breeding and racing facility. Stormy has been fortunate to have bred stakes horses and had successful horse sales.
Stormy is a member of the Florida Thoroughbred Owners’ and Breeders Association and the Farm Manager Association. She now joins the Equistaff team as a groom school instructor where she will train candidates to become grooms in the equine business.
Personal:
Stormy Duffey was raised on a working cattle ranch in Colorado. She had her own horse by age 5 and learned to competitively ride. Horses and riding have been a driving force in Stormy's life since she was a child. |

Carol Thomas

Responsibilities: Carol’s duties include management of correspondence and daily deposits and errands.
Career Accomplishments: Carol is a retired nurse and works part time for Mary K. Thomas Employment Services. Carol also provides translator services to our offices in Spanish.
Personal: Carol is a mother of three and guardian of her granddaughter, Tiffany. Carol is a long time resident of
